Ballet Lolita

Ballet Lolita, the contemporary/modern dance troupe I auditioned to and was accepted for in August has finally started up again. This means I have the pleasure of navigating my way into Boston and Cambridge Mass (what I call the Brooklyn of Boston)at least once a week for rehersals in very hip, urban dance studios. And I have to say if feels great to be flexing the dance muscle again. Writing is number one, but it's good to stay well rounded. Maybe I'll even flex my painting muscle soon and get to finishing that acrylic of G one day.

Our upcoming show, "Awakening the Muse," features women solosists dancing out various stages of womanhood. I was orinignally picked to play the "siren" role, but after some flip-flopping due to unsatisfied casting on the part of some dancers, I'm now dancing out the "spirituality" section (which might be a little ironic?). The show also features live musicians, singers and possbily poets. Cool!

Check us out at MySpace, too. and check out a show if you can!
